Portfolio

Before launching my editorial consultancy in February 2025, I worked in-house at leading publishing groups for over a decade. Organisations I’ve worked at include HarperCollins, Penguin Random House and Hachette.

Most recently, as commissioning editor at HarperNorth, I specialized in adult commercial fiction across genres including crime, thriller, romance, historical and reading-group.

Before that, I spent three years at Jonathan Cape, where I assisted in the publishing of Sunday Times and New York Times bestselling and prize-winning authors of literary fiction and nonfiction, including Ottessa Moshfegh, Rachel Kushner, Samantha Harvey, Julian Barnes, Martin Amis, Ian McEwan, Daisy Johnson, Yuval Noah Harari and Salman Rushdie.

During my career I’ve published digital and print bestsellers, and winners and nominees for accolades including the McDermid Debut Award, CWA Daggers, Bloody Scotland Debut Prize, Waterstones Debut Prize, Scotland’s National Book Awards, Observer Top Ten Debut Novelists, Owned Voices Novel Award, Unicorns Culture Award, Costa Short Story Award and Encore Award. During my time at HarperNorth, we were shortlisted for Imprint of the Year at the National Book Awards 2024.

Since I started out in book publishing - interning at the French publisher Gallimard, then at London Literary Scouting - I have also worked extensively as a multilingual reader and consultant. I hold a first class BA in French and Italian from the University of Oxford, and am an alumna of the National Centre for Writing’s literary translation summer school.
